Why Horween?
We source all of our leather from Horween Leather Company in Chicago, one of the oldest continuously operating tanneries in America. Founded in 1905, Horween has earned a reputation for producing some of the finest leather available anywhere in the world. Their hides are used by respected makers, luxury brands, and craftspeople who care deeply about quality and longevity. We choose Horween because their leather possesses something increasingly rare: authenticity. It develops character, ages beautifully, and rewards long-term use.
Dublin is the more expressive of the two. With strong pull-up, a firmer hand, and dramatic aging characteristics, it develops extraordinary character over time.
Essex is softer, more supple, and more refined. It offers easier handling, greater flexibility, and a cleaner appearance while still developing a beautiful patina.
Both are genuine Horween leathers. The difference is not quality, but personality.
